Job Description

Resident Assistants assist staff in meeting the needs of the resident; in a "no hands on" help and/or observe for safety of resident until a CNA, LPN, or RN arrives to help. This Position is a transition position into a CNA Trainee position.

Responsibilities

• Answer any bells that you see going off in a timely fashion. If it is something that you cannot assist with (such as a resident in or out of bed), then you would leave their bell on and tell the first CNA or nurse you see.
• Make rounds around the unit(s) you are assigned to making sure the following is done:
• Beds are made or stripped and remade for showers.
• All resident toiletries are labeled with the appropriate name and put away neatly.
• Residents personal clothing is hung up on the appropriate side of the closest.
• Make sure the resident rooms have clean washcloths and towels in the bathroom.
• Disinfect shower chairs, bedside tables, etc.
• Help with resident meals:
• Distributing meal trays
• Assist with getting meal orders
• Entering meal tickets into PCC
