The Patient Care Assistant performs assigned patient care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including collecting and documenting tests, obtaining vital signs, and monitoring high-risk patients. Responsibilities also involve lifting, transporting patients, stocking supplies, and accurately documenting all activities in the electronic medical record.
The minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED, along with the ability to read, write, and follow instructions, and competency in using the electronic medical record. Candidates must maintain CPR certification and obtain proficiency in 12 lead ECG testing, phlebotomy, and Ortho-Glass skills.

Under assessment and supervision of the Registered Nurse and according to established policies and procedures, performs patient care activities in order to assist health care providers in performing various clinical and technical procedures in the patient care area.
