The Technician provides critical data to doctors by performing administrative and clinical functions, including obtaining patient histories, conducting preliminary testing, and assisting with exams. This role ensures practice quality standards are met while focusing on the patient experience and effective communication.
include preparing patients for eye exams, performing all preliminary and requested tests, assisting optometrists and ophthalmologists, and coordinating patient scheduling and office flow. Candidates must be able to stand for sustained periods, stoop, grasp, lift up to 15 lbs regularly, and possess the necessary visual acuity for accurate work.
The Technician fulfills an important role in providing data that is critical to the doctor in order to provide proper care and treatment to each patient. This individual is responsible for various administrative and clinical functions, including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary and ancillary testing, scheduling patients, preparing the exam room, and assisting the doctors with any exam needs. They ensure the practice’s quality standards are met, while completing specific, essential responsibilities that pertain to the patient’s experience and effective communication.
