The Patient Care Assistant performs assigned patient care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including collecting and documenting urine pregnancy tests and obtaining vital signs and weights. Responsibilities also involve performing one-to-one monitoring for high-risk patients, lifting/transporting patients, and managing supply stocking.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read, write, and follow instructions, and competency in using the electronic medical record. Candidates must maintain CPR certification and obtain proficiency in 12 lead ECG testing, phlebotomy, and Ortho-Glass skills.

Under assessment and supervision of the Registered Nurse and according to established policies and procedures, performs patient care activities in order to assist health care providers in performing various clinical and technical procedures in the patient care area.
