Duties: and Responsibilities:

• 1.
• Maintains the Delinquent Records by Physician report and performs physician suspension by positing the bi-weekly Suspension Notification memorandums.
• Assists physicians completion by training physicians in online deficiency completion.
• Contacts physicians for notification of incomplete records/suspension or other inquiries, via phone, e-mail and/or preparing memorandums.
• 2.
• Maintains Physician Suspension reporting and distributes to senior administration, completes monthly regulatory reporting to outside agencies, and provides oversight and coverage for discharge analysis.
• 3.
• Maintains organization in the permanent and incomplete file areas and assists with re-filing remaining paper records 4.
• Indexes the image (encounter, section, or document) appropriately by required patient data elements according to facility specific guidelines and performs quality control of recently indexed records by monitoring the manual indexing queue of unassigned images.
• Adds/Revises/Relocates/Deletes episodes when determined applicable.
• 5.
• Acts as internal IT liaison for troubleshooting issues related to HIM processes.
• Trains HIM and other departmental personnel on the scanning and indexing functionality.
• Creates Meditech mnemonic for physicians and other clinicians.
• 6.
• Manages the HIM Reject orders queue in Meditech and monitors EQS placeholder queue for analysis.
• 7.
• Maintains HIM Departmental dashboard and provides daily to key administrative staff.
• 8.
• Monitors the EMPI by reviewing the appropriate Meditech reports designed to identify potential data duplicates, documentation errors, and other system errors and communicates with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate resolution.
• Performs daily quality review of all documentation imported into Meditech system or other electronic health record.
• 9.
• Maintains integrity by merging duplicate MRNs to ensure medical record integrity for patient safety and communicates with downstream systems as appropriate 10.
