The Family Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with a family practice physician to manage the primary healthcare needs of children, adolescents, and adults in mental health hospitals, including performing H&Ps and physical exams under supervision. Responsibilities also involve maintaining accurate medical records, promptly reporting significant patient diagnosis changes, and coordinating schedules with facility supervision and the supervising physician.
Candidates must possess an Advanced Family Practice Nurse (FNP) or Advanced Psychiatric Nurse (MSN) qualification, coupled with two to three years of experience in a behavioral health hospital setting. Essential soft skills include being a team player with exceptional oral and written communication abilities, and maintaining positive working relationships with physicians and nursing staff.
FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER, MENTAL HEALTH FACILITIES The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for Mental Health Facilities will work closely with the assigned family practice physician to treat and care for the primary health care needs of children, adolescents, and adult patients within client Mental Health Hospitals. The FNP will also attend to treating and caring for patients’ medical needs under the supervision of the family practice physician.
