The Psychologist will provide comprehensive assessment, psychometric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for children, adolescents, adults, and families to improve psychosocial functioning. This role also involves crisis evaluation, consultation to the primary care team, and assisting in developing care management processes.
Candidates must possess a Master's in Psychology or a PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and be licensed as a Psychologist in Missouri, with current BLS/CPR certification. Three years of counseling experience and familiarity with integrated health care, Medicaid, and NCQA Standards are preferred.
Psychologist REPORTS TO: Director of Behavioral Health CLASSIFICATION: Exempt CareSTL Health is seeking a Psychologist to join our team! The Psychologist provides behavioral health consultation to children, adolescents, adults, and families in order to improve psychosocial functioning. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Psychologist may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Provides comprehensive assessment, psychometric evaluation, and diagnosis of behavioral health clients. 2. Provides effective treatment planning and assists clients in successfully achieving goals. 3. Provides assessment, evaluation, consultation, and brief intervention for psychological / psychiatric problems and/or disorders. Assists the primary care team in developing care management processes such as the use of guidelines, disease management techniques, case management, and patient education to improve self-management of chronic disease. 4. Evaluates crisis situations and applies appropriate interventions. Assists in the detection of “at risk” patients and development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration. 5. Works as a member of the Care Team to improve health outcomes.
