The technologist performs diagnostic Ultrasound procedures under indirect supervision, assists physicians with invasive biopsy procedures, and evaluates ultrasound images, providing accurate documentation and communicating findings to the Radiologist. Responsibilities also include comprehensive patient explanations, operating imaging support equipment, and maintaining room orderliness and supply inventory.
Candidates must be registered and in good standing with ARDMS, with preferred credentialing in physics, vascular, and abdominal specialties, and maintain Basic Life Support certification. The role requires frequent physical activity, including lifting/carrying over 20 pounds and standing/walking for at least five hours daily, while managing Category I occupational exposure risks.
Technologists must be registered and in good standing with the ARDMS with credentialing in physics, vascular and abdominal preferred.
Maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Category I exposure to bloodborne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards.
