The Medical Assistant III is responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with direct patient care, including gathering histories, documenting complaints, and preparing patients for examinations. This role also involves performing routine office testing, assisting with minor surgical procedures, and managing necessary patient specimen collection.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant Program and possess current Medical Assistant certification from a recognized body. A minimum of five years of medical assisting experience, including two years in a specialty area, is required, along with current CPR certification.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
