Assist physicians and nursing staff with direct patient care and manage patient flow and charts. Perform delegated medical tasks and clerical duties using electronic systems according to standard operating procedures.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent supervised experience. Must hold a Medical Assistant certification, CPR certification, and demonstrate skill in venipuncture.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
