The Medication Aide is responsible for setting up and administering resident medications according to physician orders and professional standards, which may include supervising Certified Nursing Assistants. Duties also involve providing essential personal hygiene assistance, helping with daily living activities like serving meals, and maintaining patient stability by monitoring vital signs and recording data.
Candidates must be licensed in Nebraska as a 40-hour Medication Aide and must maintain that licensure in good standing. The role requires performing various patient care tasks, including medication administration and assisting residents with daily activities.
