This role is responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with direct patient care, managing patient charts, and ensuring efficient patient flow within the family medicine department. The position also involves performing delegated medical tasks and may include clerical duties, utilizing electronic systems as required.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant Program and possess current Medical Assistant certification from a recognized body, along with demonstrated skill in venipuncture and current CPR certification. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, alongside two to three years of experience in medical assisting and a medical office setting.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
