The Intake Pharmacy Technician creates patient profiles and processes orders in a timely manner received from electronic prescription and fax queues, while also requesting refill prescriptions as appropriate. This role involves managing incoming documents from the fax server within a high-volume pharmacy setting.
Candidates must be a licensed/registered pharmacy technician, possess at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, and have knowledge of medical terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals. Required skills include good organizational abilities, detail orientation, basic math, and intermediate keyboarding proficiency.
• Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in Pharmacy
• Required: Independent worker, good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to work independently, work efficiently to meet deadlines and be flexible, detail-oriented, great time-management skills
