The Medical Assistant will travel to various locations to support the Physician and Advanced Practitioner by performing patient intake procedures such as rooming patients and taking vitals. They will also coordinate patient care logistics including managing referrals, authorizations, and scheduling for clinic and hospital treatments.
Candidates should possess 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, although this is preferred, and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or passing the examination are mandatory educational prerequisites.

IMS Care Center is currently searching for a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of a Travel Medical Assistant for our Nephrology department. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing support by assisting patients and their family members before, during and after their visit. Medical Assistants work alongside doctors, nurses and other clinical personnel, performing functions that help the clinic run smoothly.
