The Physical Therapist Assistant provides skilled technical physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist, adhering to established policies and regulations. This role involves assisting with progress evaluations, observing patient conditions, and maintaining detailed records of treatments and patient responses.
Candidates must possess an Associate’s Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association. Additionally, applicants are required to be licensed in the state where they will be practicing, with active membership in state and national Physical Therapy Associations being preferred.
