The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, retaining, and managing volunteers to support hospice patients and families, while also providing essential office support to the interdisciplinary team. Key duties include developing recruitment strategies, providing volunteer training and oversight, arranging support meetings, and coordinating community outreach and bereavement interventions.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a Behavioral or Social science area concentration is preferred, along with one year of related experience in a similar field or volunteer activity. Candidates must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in computer and technology skills.
