The Referral Clinical Coordinator assists hospitals in identifying and referring potential donors, gathering medical data to assess suitability, and collaborating with medical teams on the plan of care to preserve donation opportunities. This role also involves facilitating brain death documentation review, approaching authorizing parties for donation authorization, and assisting with recovery center logistics during the donation process.
Candidates must possess an EMT, Paramedic, or LVN license, along with required work experience in the medical field involving medical terminology. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred, and a current California driver's license with reliable transportation is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time, Non-exempt
12-hour shifts: 7PM-7AM; 7 days in a two week period, including alternating weekends.

Work Setting: In-person and Field Service Area
Location: Employee may assigned to a base office in Mission Hills
Travel: Travel required by personal auto or air to meeting sites and other locations
The RCC is responsible for assisting hospitals to identify and refer potential donors, gathering and interpreting medical information to aid in the determination of suitability for a potential donor, discussing the plan of care with the medical team, providing donor management goals to help preserve the opportunity for donation, facilitating completion and review of brain death notes, representing OneLegacy to the potential donor’s authorizing party and when appropriate, undertakes registry notification or approach for donation authorization when necessary, as well as assisting in the donation process occurring at a OneLegacy Recovery Center including, but not limited to, transportation, logistics, documentation, donor care, and organ recovery when necessary.
Duties: & Responsibilities:
Education: EMT, Paramedic or LVN license. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Required work experience in the medical field/ medical terminology.
A current California driver’s license, auto insurance based on California minimal insurance coverage standards and reliable automotive transportation is required.
