The Certified Medication Aide is responsible for administering medications to residents as ordered by the physician, ensuring accurate preparation, administration, and documentation of oral and topical medications. They must also foster a warm, patient, and cheerful environment while maintaining resident confidentiality.
Candidates must possess a High school diploma or equivalent and hold active Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medication Aide credentials in the state, along with an active CPR/BLS Certification. Fluency in English for speaking, reading, and writing is mandatory, along with knowledge of medical abbreviations and the ability to accurately record vital signs.
