Scheduler / Resident Care Coordinator (CMA) Status: Full-Time

The Scheduling Coordinator manages employee schedules, fills open shifts, tracks coverage needs, and partners with leadership to maintain safe staffing levels using scheduling systems and reports.
Responsibilities
- Complete and post monthly schedule for med techs and care staff, coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Answer employee calls regarding scheduling issues and prepare written correspondence as necessary.
- Consult with department managers concerning staffing and scheduling needs.
- Maintain the online scheduling software and note tardies and absences for employee performance appraisals, reporting to the RCC or Arbor Administrator all issues.
- Work with Human Resources and RCC when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and Arete policy.
- Communicate with RCC to facilitate quality orientation programs and provide each newly hired nursing personnel with an orientation schedule.
- Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
- Document information pertaining to changes in residents’ status, needs and appointments.
- Ensure proper documentation of all care plans, nurses’ notes and all other resident documentation.
- Oversee reordering of medications ensuring their availability according to doctor’s orders.
- Provide orientation and on the job training to Caregivers and Medication Aides.
- Measure, record and assist with the wellness clinics.
- Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly audits.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Scheduler in a Healthcare setting (preferably Assisted Living / Memory Care)
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medication Technician in an Assisted Living or related community.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English fluently
