The Infection Preventionist will develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program, ensuring compliance through unit rounds and reviewing sanitation procedures. This role involves analyzing lab reports, consulting with the Director of Nursing, and communicating precautions and hand-hygiene techniques to staff, residents, and families.
Candidates must possess an unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state and demonstrate knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertinent to long-term care. Infection control experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment is listed as a desirable qualification.

As an Infection Preventionist (IP LPN LVN) , you will develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensure that the facility is in compliance. You will make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures and analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing. You will prepare summaries of all resident/staff infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission. You'll meet with staff, residents and family members to explain precautions and ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed.
