Ophthalmic Assistants collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists by performing various eye-related clinical functions, including taking histories, conducting diagnostic tests, and preparing patients for physician examination. They assist in providing excellent customer service and delivering critical medical information necessary for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and demonstrate the ability to learn complex concepts and apply them daily, along with strong customer service focus. Previous medical field experience is preferred, and the role offers hands-on training for those passionate about helping others in a professional, team-oriented environment.
