The Sonographer will perform sonographic procedures, evaluate sonograms for anomalies, and communicate findings to the physician, while also providing visual guidance for procedures like amniocentesis. Responsibilities also include reviewing patient charts, creating reports, and maintaining room supplies across various clinical settings.
Candidates must be a graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program and hold a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification with an OB/GYN specialty, along with at least two years of high-risk OB or MFM sonography experience. Required knowledge includes human anatomy, medical terminology, applied physics related to ultrasound, and HIPAA compliance.
