The Direct Care Technician is responsible for providing and maintaining a therapeutic and safe group environment while attending to the basic needs and welfare of clients. This role includes providing informal counseling utilizing behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement, and socialization skills within the detox center.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED as a minimum requirement, and maintaining a valid state-appropriate driver's license with auto insurance is necessary for utilizing agency vehicles. Peer support certification is considered a plus but is not mandatory.
