The Supportive Caseworker will support caseworkers by providing individually tailored, strength-based, and collaborative case planning services while maintaining intensive in-home contact and therapeutic rapport with families. Responsibilities also include developing, teaching, modeling, and evaluating effective techniques with parents/caretakers and ensuring timely completion and filing of progress notes.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services related field along with 2 years of experience providing supportive services to children and their families, plus a current NYS Driver’s License and personal vehicle. Candidates must also possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, exercise discretion, and demonstrate sensitivity and compassion.
Provide intensive, individually tailored and strength-based case planning services to high risk families referred through Erie County Department of Social Services during non-traditional hours, including weekend and evenings. Department Gateway Longview’s Behavioral Health & Preventive Services programs supports children and youth ages birth-21 years struggling with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges.
