The Practice Support Coordinator is responsible for accurately performing all clerical duties, including communicating with referring offices, managing patient records, ensuring data accuracy in the registration system, and scheduling appointments. This role requires working closely with other departments to ensure patient charts are complete for treatment while maintaining a professional demeanor under stress.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States, along with strong verbal communication skills in English and proficiency in computer applications. Preferred qualifications include two years of medical office experience, with five years preferred, and demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service focused, Practice Support Coordinator to join our Pre-Surgical Team!
We need someone with a professional demeanor, can work well under stress/stress situations, will provide great customer service to our patients, and is able to multitask!
Under the direction of the assigned leader, the Practice Support Coordinator is responsible for assuring that all clerical duties are accurately performed in completion of, but not limited to, the following areas: communicating with referring clinic offices; ensure that copies of appropriate documentation are obtained to facilitate treatment or patient care; manage flow of patient medical records; ensure that all information entered into the automated admitting/registration system is accurate and complete; schedule patients for office visits; assisting with registration and pre-registration functions; field incoming calls; projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers and the Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate. This position will also work closely with other departments as needed, to ensure the patient’s chart and information is complete to receive treatment. Works under stress and in situations that demand patience and tact while providing impeccable service.
