The technician performs fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all ages following professional radiology practice standards and ensures patients feel comfortable throughout the process. They also assist with delegated nursing, lab, administrative, and clerical duties under the direction of a Physician, PA, or NP.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold a current X-Ray Technology certificate or license approved in Illinois. Required knowledge includes modern radiologic equipment, human anatomy, safety precautions, and basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

$26.50 - $40.50 per hour, based on skill and experience level.
Performs fluoroscopic procedures for the treatment of patients of all age groups, utilizing the guidelines of the professional radiology practice standards. Help patients feel comfortable during the entire process. Perform selected nursing, lab, administrative, and clerical duties that assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under the direction of a Physician, PA, or NP. These duties are delegated in relation to the individual's degree of training, in accordance with the objectives and policies of the organization and respective state laws governing such action and activities.
Supervision received: ASC Director
• A current certification or license in X-Ray Technology from the state of Illinois.
Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and techniques; regional and gross anatomy of the human body; standardized radiologic clinical procedures; thorough knowledge of the hazards of radiologic materials and the safety precautions required; the operation and care of modern radiologic equipment; and the ordering and storing of supplies. Ability to communicate effectively at a level required for successful job performance; administer emergency aid for shock; prepare solution used in processing x-ray film and process film; keep simple records, file film correctly, and compile reports; follow directions; analyze situations accurately and take effective action; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others
Normal busy office environment with much telephone work. For the majority of our positions this would be a climate controlled office environment during normal business hours. Occasional evening and/or weekend work.
