The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide essential health services, training, and oversight to participants within the Residential Program, including performing initial health assessments for new participants. Key duties involve conducting home visits, corresponding with doctors, providing training to host home providers, and managing medication administration delegation and oversight.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current Colorado Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, preferably possessing one to three years of LPN experience, especially in rehabilitation or occupational health settings. Successful applicants need strong communication skills, the ability to work with diverse populations, knowledge of medical procedures, and must be able to drive for company business.

Part-Time position is eligible for direct primary care coverage. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Residential will provide health services, training, and oversight to the Residential Program.
• The LPN will perform initial assessments of all new Residential Services participants. The incumbent will make visits to individual homes as needed; correspond with Doctors regarding special concerns and medication changes. The LPN will conduct home visits for medically fragile clients to ensure compliance. The LPN will also function in an “on-call” capacity for Residential Services.
• The LPN will provide training and consultation to all host home providers. In addition to the training, the incumbent will provide delegation and oversights for medication administration as well as care of gastrostomy tubes once the training has been received.
• The LPN works with the Residential Services staff to maintain accurate medical files for all Goodwill of Colorado Residential Services clients. The incumbent will review medication charts monthly, obtain Doctor’s orders and communicate with the pharmacy and afterhours access if needed. The incumbent will also schedule and interpret medical assessments and create appropriate protocols from assessments.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issues by the Colorado State Board.
• One (1) to three (3) years’ experience as an LPN, preferably in rehabilitation or occupational health settings is preferred.
Applicants/employee will be required to undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and background check; applicants/employees must disclose all moving traffic violations or vehicle crashes (within the last five (5) years)(Note: not all violations are a disqualification for employment and each case will be reviewed by the insurance carrier); must have valid Colorado State driver license; must also be able to operate company vehicle, and adhere to all Federal, State, and local laws governing vehicle operation.
