The Medication Aide/Tech is responsible for accurately administering routine medications as ordered by a physician, documenting the process, and immediately reporting any errors, refusals, or adverse reactions to the Team Leader. Additionally, they must perform Caregiver/CNA duties when not administering medications and ensure proper medication storage and reordering.
Candidates must be able to verify resident identification before administering medication and accurately prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications commonly used in the community. They are also required to complete all mandated Ovation, Relias, and State Law inservice training.
The Medication Aide / Tech administers routine medications and documents administration per policy while supporting resident care and reporting concerns to nursing leadership.
