The Pediatric Mental Health Therapist will provide outpatient mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment, to children and adolescents in a community health center setting. Key duties involve developing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with integrated care teams, and maintaining compliant clinical documentation.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in a relevant field and hold a current, unrestricted Texas license as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Experience serving children and adolescents, particularly in community health or integrated care settings, is preferred.
Current, unrestricted Texas license to practice as Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Experience providing mental health services to children and adolescents preferred. Experience in a community health center, school-based clinic, or integrated primary care setting is a plus. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practices.
English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
May require travel from one site to another; valid Texas drivers’ license and current auto insurance required; must have reliable and safe transportation. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Strong understanding of child development, family systems, and pediatric mental health conditions. Ability to build rapport with children, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members. Knowledge of evidence-based pediatric interventions (e.g., CBT, play therapy, family-based approaches). Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Commitment to serving underserved and diverse populations.
