The Organizer will represent members in third-step grievance hearings, conduct investigations, and lead chapter meetings while enforcing the collective bargaining agreement. Key duties also involve identifying and developing rank-and-file leadership, conducting new member orientations, and strengthening the delegate structure within institutions.
Candidates should ideally have previous experience as a Union Organizer, Delegate, or Activist within a healthcare institution and must be well-organized with a commitment to union building. Essential requirements include the ability to work with diverse groups, demonstrate leadership, manage time independently, and be willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends, possessing a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or equivalent.
