The Dental Assistant supports the dentist by preparing instruments, setting up the operatory, and actively assisting during dental procedures, including taking radiographs and performing restorative material placement. Key duties also involve managing infection control protocols, monitoring sterilization, maintaining supplies, and translating treatment information between the doctor and Spanish-speaking patients.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED, current CPR/BLS certification, a required National DANB Radiation and Safety exam Certificate of Completion, and required Certification in Dental Assisting. Experience as a dental assistant is preferred, along with the ability to effectively communicate and translate in Spanish.
