Minimum requirements include an active American Heart Association BLS certification and proof of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT program, Medical Assistant Certification, LPN license, or a Nursing Degree (ASN or BSN). Preferred qualifications include high school education, fluency in English and Spanish, 1-2 years of physician office experience, and phlebotomy skills.
