The role involves working to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults. This includes providing aural rehabilitation for the deaf or hard of hearing and implementing augmentative and alternative communication systems for those with severe expressive or comprehension disorders.
Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered state license to practice speech pathology and the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from a CAA-accredited program. A current CPR certification is also mandatory, with one or more years of experience being preferred.
Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults. Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Other duties as assigned.
