The technologist performs high-quality nuclear medicine and/or PET/CT imaging while ensuring patients receive the proper dose of radionuclides, which includes administering isotopes via IV lines or venipuncture. They are responsible for explaining procedures, monitoring patient well-being, and maintaining the nuclear medicine information system for dosing and regulatory compliance.
Candidates must possess current ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification along with BLS/CPR certification, and have experience working in a high-volume setting. A high school diploma or GED is required, alongside a passion for patient care and professional communication skills.
