The primary duties involve performing high-quality MRI exams while ensuring patient safety by adhering to protocols and administering contrast when necessary. Technologists must also adjust equipment factors like TR, TE, and field of view to produce optimal images and communicate effectively with patients and physicians.
Candidates must possess ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification and BLS certification, with a state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology potentially required depending on location. A venipuncture certificate might also be necessary, and at least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.
