The Phlebotomy Services Tech is responsible for the collection and processing of blood samples and other specimens as defined by the site. This role also involves providing a high level of customer service regarding lab inquiries and test requirements.
A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required for this position. Completion of a phlebotomy program, six months of phlebotomy work experience, and phlebotomy certification are preferred qualifications.
Education and Licensure: Required: Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma Bachelors in Nursing Preferred*Medical Center - “*Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years from date of hire. Current employees grandfathered before July 2020.” Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas BLS with skills demonstration ACLS within six months Minimum Experience: At least one (1) year of RN experience Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
