The Radiation Therapist will greet patients, verify treatment parameters against physician prescriptions, and educate patients and families about the treatment process. Responsibilities also include preparing patients, positioning equipment, taking verification scans, monitoring treatment, and accurately recording all procedures in the EMR.
Candidates must have satisfactorily completed a JRCERT accredited Radiation Therapy Program and must complete ARRT (T) boards within six months of hire, along with holding current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Required knowledge includes linear accelerators and record and verify systems, along with the ability to operate radiation therapy equipment.
