The registered nurse is primarily responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care for each assigned patient, which includes providing direct patient care and supervising other nursing staff members. Key duties involve anticipating patient needs, ensuring timely and accurate transcription and execution of physician orders, coordinating the plan of care, and conducting patient teaching.
Required qualifications include holding a current California Registered Nurse (RN) License and possessing both BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred, and post-hire quarterly AHA RQI competency certification is mandatory for compliance.
