Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to internal medicine patients, including those with complex and chronic conditions. Assist veterinarians with advanced diagnostics and procedures such as ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, CT, MRI, and minimally invasive procedures. Safely and effectively place, maintain, and monitor intravenous catheters, central lines, feeding tubes, and urinary catheters. Perform and interpret laboratory testing, including blood gas analysis, urinalysis, cytology preparation, and in-house diagnostics. Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and nutritional support as prescribed. Monitor patient vital signs, pain levels, and overall status, promptly identifying and escalating concerns. Provide anesthesia and procedural sedation support, including patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and treatment sheets. Educate and communicate effectively with clients regarding diagnostics, treatments, discharge instructions, and at-home care. Collaborate closely with veterinarians, specialty teams, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment and procedure area in accordance with hospital protocols and safety standards. Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development. Support hospital goals related to patient care, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
