The technologist will perform x-rays to support convenient care and other specialties, while also handling front desk administrative duties. Key duties involve evaluating patient status, verifying exam orders, producing optimal images, and maintaining clinical competencies.
Candidates must be ARRT registered or registry eligible in Radiology, with one year of Radiology experience preferred, though three years in a physician office with medical billing experience may substitute for formal PSR training. Strong skills in office automation, EMRs, coding, and customer service are also required.

Uses appropriate problem-solving approach to plan performance of services. a. Evaluate patient status to determine method of exam and coordinates with nursing staff and provider. b. Verify exam orders and make appropriate modifications - Convenient Care Clinics utilizes Epic Electronic Medical Information System to generate Radiology check-in document per department policy. c. Utilizes technique chart located in rooms. d. Has knowledge of daily quality control functions.
3. Uses equipment/supplies appropriately. a. Maintains clinical competencies. b. Operates office and communication systems to include Electronic Medical Record system, HBOC, PACS, and Epic EMR System, and Systoc. c. Selects and uses appropriate supplies needed to perform procedures and provide patient care.
5. Teaches/directs/advises/informs others in an appropriate manner. a. Provides guidance and assistance to co-workers. b. Provides pertinent information to Regional Manager. c. Good communication skills per corporate policy. d. Anticipates informational needs of those served.
6. Reports/records information correctly. a. Documentation on images, requests, and QC. b. Documents/Reports equipment failure to appropriate personnel.
The following, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements to perform the essential functions of this position:
ARRT registered or registry eligible in Radiology 1 year of Radiology experience preferred Three years’ experience in physician office with medical billing experience may be accepted in lieu of formal billing or PSR formal training
Clinical training and Office automation Experience with practice management systems; EMRs; office automation skills; extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding and insurance reimbursement; strong communication and interpersonal skills; good organizational skills.
