The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assumption of accountability for nursing actions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing diagnoses, as well as executing prescribed diagnostic and therapeutic treatment regimens. Essential functions involve critical thinking, accurate documentation, effective clinical delegation, and providing direct patient care utilizing professional nursing skills and judgment.
Candidates must have completed formal post-high school training, graduating from an accredited Diploma School of Nursing, Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), or Bachelor of Science (BSN). Required certifications include current RN license, BLS (within 3 months), ACLS (within 6 months), PALS (within one year), TNCC (within two years), and ENPC (within two years), with one to two years of preferred nursing or acute care experience.
(2) 12-hour shifts per week, 1:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. with every third weekend rotation. Part-time hours with full-time benefits!!
Job Requirements Education A formal training program after high school required. Graduate from an accredited Diploma School of Nursing/College of Nursing with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science (BSN) required. License/Certifications Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid compact multistate license, or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure required. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire. Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire. Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within one year of hire. Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) required within two years of hire. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within two years of hire. Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) preferred. Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred. Experience One to two years nursing experience preferred. Emergency or Acute care nursing experience preferred.
