The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, plans, and provides treatment and rehabilitation for patients with speech, hearing, language, voice, cognitive, or swallowing disorders as prescribed by a physician. This role involves working with families and team members regarding patient goals, participating in care conferencing, and ensuring compliance with licensing standards.
Required qualifications include a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program and active certification (CCC) from ASHA, along with Oregon state licensure eligibility and current AHA Basic Life Support certification. A minimum of one year of experience with therapy procedures for medical-based diagnoses and familiarity with rehabilitation practices is mandatory.
