The Pharmacy Technician II assists pharmacists by performing specialized functions such as sterile compounding, controlled substance oversight, and medication history, while utilizing requisite equipment and computer systems for medication delivery. This role also involves assuming responsibility for a pharmacy-related project, training new employees, and contributing to quality control procedures.
Candidates must be registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy and be a Certified Pharmacy Technician, requiring a minimum of three years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, either inpatient, outpatient, or specialty area. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and college courses in pharmacy are preferred.
