The counselor provides direct counseling services, including individual, group, and family sessions, and prepares, monitors, and reviews treatment and recovery plans for patients. Responsibilities also involve providing therapeutic interactions and psychosocial interventions to develop patient coping skills and maintain accurate case records.
Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree and hold a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification in good standing. A minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment program is required, with bilingual skills being preferred.
