The CT Technologist will operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic images, requiring expertise in performing scans, positioning patients, and recognizing pathology to enhance studies. Candidates must possess valid certification as a CT Technologist and an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field, along with current state licensure if required by law. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our medical imaging team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients. Your expertise in performing CT scans as well as your judgment and attention to detail will contribute to accurate diagnoses and patient care.
· Operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality images · Perform CT scans on patients as ordered by physicians · Full understanding and operation of all CT equipment, including cardiac gating and transferring of images to outside facilities. · Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort during the scanning process · Recognize pathology and takes responsibility to perform additional images for study enhancement · Review and evaluate images for clarity and accuracy · Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret scan results and identify acute positive findings. · Maintain accurate patient records and documentation · Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the proper use of radiation protection measures · Calibrate and maintain CT equipment to ensure optimal performance including daily QC, troubleshooting equipment. · Program and operate IV Contrast injectors and Proctocol System. · Verify appropriate clinical information is included with scan interpretation. · Operation of 3-D workstation, PACs System and printers. · Uses Universal Precautions in all situations per policy and procedure · Stay updated on advancements in CT technology and techniques
· Valid certification as a CT Technologist · Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field · Current state licensure or registration as required by law · Relocation available to qualified candidates
· Proficient in operating CT equipment and performing scans · Principles and techniques of multi-slice CT scanning. · In depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and cross sectional anatomy. · Advanced computer operations (including keyboard input and proper selection of protocols to scan various anatomical sections.) · Radiation protection standard, devices and techniques to assure that adequate safeguards are maintained. · Responsible to keep license current and provide copy on annual basis. · Customer Service Oriented · Ability to multi-task and prioritize. · Provide for patient care; comfort, safety and patient confidentiality. · Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills
