The Medical Technologist I performs and completes all required laboratory tests within established turnaround times, ensuring proper specimen handling and accurate recording of testing data. Duties also include performing quality control, instrument maintenance, observing safety policies, and potentially performing phlebotomy and specimen triage.
Candidates must possess at least an Associate’s degree in medical laboratory technology or a comparable degree including required biology and chemistry coursework, along with documented successful completion of training acceptable for certification eligibility. Preferred qualifications include ASCP certification, alongside strong professional communication, problem-solving, time management, and computer skills.

specimens and specimens for transport to reference labs.
