The specialist will provide direct ambulatory oncology services, including therapy management, patient education, toxicity assessment, and optimizing supportive care within a collaborative outpatient team. Responsibilities also involve rounding with providers to manage medication therapy, participating in committee work, and serving as a preceptor for learners.
A Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy is required, along with completion of an ASHP accredited residency or 3-5 years of relevant practice experience; less than one year of specific pharmacist experience is noted as preferred. Candidates must possess highly effective written and oral communication skills and be a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Ohio.
