Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting, including assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient conditions and participates in performance improvement activities.
Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and a graduate of an accredited school of nursing are required. Current state Registered Nurse Licensure and BLS certification are also necessary.
Regulatory Requirements Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and Basic to Intermediate fetal monitoring course. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice. Current BLS certification. Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
