The Physical Therapy Assistant implements selected components of patient treatment plans, collects relevant clinical data, and modifies interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist to ensure patient safety and progress. Key duties include mastering Aide responsibilities, providing individualized physical therapy treatments, and instructing patients and caregivers on treatment techniques.
Candidates must possess an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college, current CPR Certification, and must acquire licensure by passing the National Physical Therapy Exam. The role requires meeting physical demands such as frequent lifting, bending, and squatting, alongside superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
