The Behavioral Counseling Technician provides continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging from preschool through adolescent age, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This role functions as an active part of the treatment team.
Candidates must have experience in behavioral health or a related field, with experience working with children being preferred. Required qualifications include maintaining a valid driver's license and successfully completing CPR Certification and Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) immediately following employment.
The Behavioral Counseling Technician (BCT) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through adolescent depending on which unit worked. Behavioral Counseling Technicians work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
